Federal Communications Commission in theUnited States expanded the AM band to include new stations in the range of 1610 to 1700kilocycle s. It was the localRadio AAHS affiliate from1992 to1994 . When the network folded, it did not joinBeat Radio , its successor, but instead adopted aSpanish-language music format. The station, then called WBAH, also aired manyNew York Yankees games in Spanish.WBAH remained a Spanish language station until sometime in the mid-2000s, when
Multicultural Broadcasting purchased it. WBAH then leased the time to Radio Seoul, which had just leftWNSW , 1430 AM in an effort to gain a stronger signal in the market. Sister stationWZRC , which had broadcast in Korean, switched to theChinese language at the same time.Later, the brand changed from Radio Seoul to Radio Korea, which it is called today.
The signal can reportedly be heard as far away as the
