Trican Well Service Ltd. is an oilfield services corporation headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with operations in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, Canada as well as Russia, the United States and Algeria. Trican maintains an employee count of over 1000 people and provides a wide range of services such as acidizing, coiled tubing, fracturing, nitrogen pumping, cementing and polybore. Trican is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

History

Trican Well Service was founded in 1979 as a private corporation near Lloydminster, Alberta. In December 1996 the company went public and management was shuffled. Since then Trican has expanded to include fifteen operational bases (twelve in Alberta, two in northern British Columbia and one in Saskatchewan) and began operations in the United States and Russia under Liberty Pressure Pumping and Newco Well Service respectively. In 2007 Trican began operations in Algeria.
