Adelleda is a melodic hardcore rock band originally from Auckland, New Zealand, but reside in Dallas, Texas, USA. The band was formed by members from the broken up bands Blindspott and Jeopardy Theory, and American lead singer Nuno Pereira. Lead vocalist Michael Maguire also started a side-project band called In Rehab.

History

Adelleda was formed in late 2006 by members of Blindspott and Jeopardy Theory, two recently broken-up New Zealand bands. Adelleda also recruited American vocalist Nuno Pereira. In February 2008 Pereira and guitarist Brendon Reihana left the band during the recording for their newest album A Reasonable Explanation For Life. They were replaced by Kyle Setter (formerly Destroy the Runner) and Matt Sherwood, and the album was cancelled. Adelleda have so far released two EPs an two albums. After the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled album Adelleda, Kyle Setter and Matt Sherwood left the band, reportedly due to conflicts within the band and their musical direction. Michael Maguire took over lead vocals and guitar with Shelton Woolright taking over drumming and switching the bands format to a four-piece. Lead vocalist Michael Maguire also started a side-project band called In Rehab.
