- Bing Davis
Bing Davis (born 1937) is a contemporary
artist and an educator. He was born in Georgia, however, has studied, lived, and taught in bothIndiana andOhio . He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the National Conference of Artists. Davis does art from found objects and often include mixed media. However, he has donephotography ,drawing ,painting ,ceramic s andsculpture . Art to Davis “is a wonderful way to understand self and to understand others.” Being an African American and growing up in the civil rights movement has had an influence on Davis. He likes to use found objects that are commonly known such as nuts and bolts to create pieces of art that his ancestors in Africa might have such as African masks and an installation of an African shrine.External links
