The Donkey Show

The Donkey Show was a third wave ska band that was active in the 1980s in San Diego (not to be confused with alternative rock band, The Donkey Show of Dallas, Texas). The Donkey Show's members consisted of; Kim Clift on vocals, Ray Campbell on vocals, Dave Hillyard on saxophone, Stanley "Bronco" Farwell on trombone, Robert Dominguez on percussion, Matt Parker on farfisa organ, Kent Graves on drums, and Chris "Creedy" Bates on guitar. They performed concerts in various cities in California, and have performed in Washington D.C. They were one of the first bands in the third wave ska movement, and they appear in a Ska Parade documentary video . Ska Parade producers, Albino Brown and Tazy Phyllipz (along with Gerald Lokstadt of Spot Productions) arranged for The Skatalites saxman Roland Alphonso to make his first solo trip to California in 1989 to perform with The Donkey Show.
