- James Douglas, 14th Earl of Morton
James Douglas, 14th Earl of Morton KT FRS (May 14, 1737 – October 12, 1819), was a Scottish representative peer who became president of the Royal Society (24 March 1794), and was a distinguished patron of science, and particularly of astronomy.
