Khin Yu May ( _my. ခင်ယုမေ; 23 March 1937 - ) is a famous Burmese actress and singer. She is also an artist.

Biography

She was born in March 23, 1937 in Yangon, Myanmar, daughter of U Yu Swan and Daw Kyin Myan. Her sister is radio singer “Khin Yu Swe”. At 1953 she started to sing with the song “May Pan Chi” written by Myo Ma Thi. At 1958 she meet with director U Chin Sein and then she started as actress in “A thet” and “E Ba Wa Wal” directed by Poe Par Gyi. Three B Company search many actresses to produce “Bo Mya din” and they found her photo and then the company and she made contract to do three films. And then she became actress. She got an Academy Award in “Ko Pine Myit Tar” at 1961 and “Shwe Chi Ngwe Chi Tan Par Lo” at 1975. She lives in No (11), West Shwegonedine(4) street, Yangon now. She starred in the films:
