"Hemiarthrum setulosum" is a species of chiton in the family Hanleyidae, the only member of the genus "Hemiarthrum".

Distribution

This species is endemic to circum-Antarctic islands, including Macquarie Island.

Habitat

hell description

The shell is small, elongate, with valves weakly sculptured, the girdle leathery or spongy, with short hair-like processes scattered all over, and bunches of longer processes at the sutural pores. There are eight processes in front of the head valve and two behind the tail valve.

Length is up to 9 mm, and the width is up to 4 mm.
