Farsund Airport, Lista ( _no. Farsund lufthavn, Lista), Airport codes|FAN|ENLI is a now closed former public and military aerodrome located in Farsund, Norway. Until 1996 is was also the Norwegian Air Force Lista Air Station, and until 2002 it was part of Luftfartsverket. The airport is now disused and owned by Lista Flypark AS.

History

Services starte in 1955 when Braathens SAFE received permission to start scheduled flights from Oslo Airport, Fornebu - Farsund - Stavanger Airport, Sola with de Havilland DH-114 Heron aircraft. These were later terminated. In 1983 Norving started scheduled traffic to Oslo, Skien Airport, Geiteryggen and Stavanger. In 1996 the military section at the airport was closed, but Air Stord started regular scheduled flight to Oslo, but in 1999 the company went bankrupt. This resulted in Guard Air flying to Oslo, but the flights were terminated before the year was over. In 2001 the operating company Liste Lufthavn chartered a plane from Sundt Air to operate flights to Oslo, but this service did not either manage to last beyond the year. In 2002 the Norwegian Air Force sold the airport to Lista Flypark, in an agreement that later created massive criticism since the air force actually paid the company NOK 11 million to purchase the airport. The service was since terminated.
