1360 -1399 ), was theMongol Khan of the Northern Yuan Dynasty inMongolia . Elbeg was the younger brother ofJorightu Khan, Emperor Xingyuan of Northern Yuan and ruled for seven years. In1399 , he was defeated byOirats and was killed as a result. Several months after his death, his crown was succeeded by his eldest sonGün Temür Khan, Emperor Shuntian of Northern Yuan .
