Varatharajah

Varatharajah is a Tamil name, commonly used among Sri Lankans. It is also another name for Lord Vishnu. Normally Indian Tamils refer to it as Varatharajan. But in the United Kingdom it is most commonly used as a surname.

Uses

Varatharajah is a given name(first name) in Sri Lanka, however when Tamils with Varatharajah as their first name immigrate to Western countries the given name and the surname switch. During the generations of such people, their children continue to be Varatharajah.
