Etel Billig

Etel Billig

Etel Billig is an actress, director and teacher with over five decades of theatrical experience. In 1976, she and her late husband Steve founded the Illinois Theatre Center (ITC).

In the past 31 years she has acted in and/or directed over 120 productions at ITC. In "Chicago Magazine"'s 2004 "Best of Chicago" issue, she was named "Best Muse for Children" [ [http://www.performink.com/archives/specialissues/Workshops2006/WORKSHOP_BreadthofTraining.htm The Breadth of Training in Chicago] from PerformInc Online] for her work as director of ITC's Drama School. Billig has served as the President of the Southland Regional Arts Council and as a member of the Theatre Advisory Panel of the Illinois Arts Council.
