Linda Vester (born
June 11 ,1965 , inCincinnati, Ohio ) is an American TV news host. She was the host of "Dayside with Linda Vester" on theFox News Channel , first joining the channel in1999 . She later left the channel to look after her children.Vester previously worked at
NBC News as an anchor/correspondent,MSNBC as host of "Today in America", andWFLA-TV inTampa ,Florida . While at NBC, she hosted "NBC News at Sunrise " from1996 -1998 and also worked on "Weekend Today", as a correspondent, from1992 -1996 . She coveredOperation Desert Storm ,TWA Flight 800 , theCentennial Olympic Park bombing , and theRwandan Genocide .In July 2005, she left "
Dayside " on maternity leave and in July 2006 it was reported that she would not be returning to the Fox News Channel.Juliet Huddy andMike Jerrick hosted "Dayside" until it was replaced with "The Live Desk" with Martha MacCallum in late 2006.Vester has a BA degree from
