Atomic Swindlers is a psychedelic glam pop band from Rochester, New York, fronted by April Laragy. Onstage, Laragy adopts the role of "Stargirl," a lesbian science-fiction superhero. The band's music is sung from Stargirl's point of view as she engages in futuristic adventures.

The band's music explores issues of love, life, and sexual preference.

According to Popmatters.com, Atomic Swindlers are a significant band because they combine "musical genres that include psychedelic, garage, glam, and pop," and "have carved a niche that transcends all of these."
