"The Hull Daily Mail" is the local daily
newspaper forKingston upon Hull ,East Riding of Yorkshire and is published along with the free weekly,Hull Advertiser . There used to be a weekly sports paper, theSportsMail , but this folded in 2006. The Hull Daily Mail has been circulated in various guises since1885 .The paper is owned by
Northcliffe Media , one of the biggest regional publishers in the UK, and a subsidiary of Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, the London Standard, and the Metro free daily paper. Together, they are owned by theDaily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT), one of the UK's largest media companies with interests in national and regional newspapers, television and radio.The Hull Daily Mail is produced every day of the week except for Sunday and has a readership of around 170,000.
