Tara Ghimire

Tara Ghimire is a Hindu religious teacher and charity worker in Nepal. She was awarded the title of "First Woman Bhagawatcharya in Nepalese History" by the king of Nepal in 2003. She was also the first woman to perform the Shree Mad Bhagwat Kahta.

Ghimire is from a middle class family. Her parents, Krishna Ghimire and Indira Maya Ghimire, are from a religious background. Ghimire teaches in Nepal and also holds seminars and conferences in India and elsewhere.

Her social and charity work in Nepal has included helping to support the construction of schools, roads, temples and orphanages.
