Eniaion

The Eniaion Party (Ενιαίον Κόμμα in Greek) tranlsating as the United Party was a short lived political party in Cyprus. Its origins came from a previous party, the "Patriotic Front" (Πατριωτικό Μέτωπο in Greek). The party was founded by Glafkos Klerides and Tassos Papadopoulos on February 5th 1969. The party only entered the 1970 parliamentary elections where they managed to elect 15 members to the Parliament of Cyprus, gaining more votes than any of the opposition.

In the parliamentary elections of 1970 they won with 15 seats in parliament. Nine in Nicosia (Glafkos Klerides, Tassos Papadopoulos, Mixalakis Savvidis, Nikos Koshis, Ksanthos Klirides, Leandros Zaxariadis, Panagiotis Demetriou, Georgios Zambas, Andreas Xatzioannou), 5 in Limassol (Aimilios Michailides, Aimilios Fragkos, Xenis Xenopoulos, Andreas Neocleous, Maliotis Georgios) and 1 in Larnaka (Antonakis Sotiriadis).
