Shelter Cymru

Shelter Cymru is an independent Wales-based housing and homelessness charity. It works in collaboration with the UK charity Shelter. Shelter Cymru has worked in Wales since 1981, and has been an independent organisation since 1986.

The organization believes that all people in Wales have a right to a decent home and works to that end by:
*Providing expert legal housing advice services
*Developing projects that address the root causes of homelessness
*Delivering education, training and information services
*Undertaking policy and research work

In 2006 the organisation helped over 16,000 people in Wales with housing problems.
