Gunthar was a member of the space pirate Nebula's band of mercenaries. Gunthar is a Rigellian, a Freebooter. Gunthar can mentally control others, fire psionic blasts, and increase his density to gain armor-like skin.

Gunthar is humorless and cruel. He likes to use his powers to bully others, especially weak-willed underlings like Kehl.
