Barnard College , she was managing editor of "discovery", a literary magazine, before moving fromNew York to Cambridge, MA, in 1959 and beginning her career as novelist.Among her nine published novels are: Growing up Rich (
Edward Lewis Wallant Award ); Professor Romeo (aNew York Times “Notable Book of the Year”); and Trophy House. She is co-author of three non-fiction books: What If?
