Derrû Gobić

Derrû Gobić (born December 20, 1948 in Makarska, Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Croatian football midfielder. He started, spent most of his career at FK Partizan. He went through their youth academy and was brought into the first team by manager Stevan Vilotić in 1967. He has won national championships with the team in 1975/76 and 1977/78 seasons.

He snaped a well earned 42 caps for Yugoslavia during his career.

In 1978 he joined for the Turkish club Altay S.K., where he played with the likes of Mustafa Denizli. Mustafa Denizli once said "Derru is the best winger I have ever played with, he has so much pace, you almost never see him, but you feel safe knowing he is there." He finished runners up in the Fortis Turkey Cup in his first season, only to win it a year later.

In the summer of 1980, just a few days before the European Super Cup final, Gobić made a move to Nottingham Forest, and was included in the squad for the game only 4 days in at his new club. This was the last season of his playing career, in 1981 at Forest where he retired as player, he took on a coaching post next to legendary manager Brian Clough. Gobić returned to Partizan in 1986 as an assistant manager.
