Architecture, Incorporated is a design firm based out of the Washington Metropolitan Area, in Reston, Virginia. The architecture and interior architecture design firm is also recognized as "Architecture, Inc." and "Arch Inc." for short. In addition to architecture and interior architecture, the firm specializes in urban planning, campus planning, graphic design, environmental consulting, and landscape architecture. The firm is gaining wide acclaim most recently from the design of the new Kettler Arena & Washington Capitals NHL training facility and headquarters, known as the "Kettler Capitals Iceplex", located in Arlington County, Virginia. The firm just completed the masterplan for the Revitalization of Lake Anne, a historic cultural center and commercial hub in the heart of Northern Virginia.
The firm was founded by two Washington native architects, William R. Drury and Carl R. Shaw in 1986. The collaborative architectural firm has committed itself to improving the quality of design since the very beginning.
The firm has a broad portfolio ranging from high-end hotel design, to higher education campus planning.
