"Williamia radiata nutatus" is a subspecies of small sea snail or saltwater limpet with a lung, a marine pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Siphonariidae, the marine pulmonate limpets.

Distribution

This subspecies lives in the Kermadec Islands and the far north of the North Island of New Zealand, whereas the subspecies "Williamia radiata radiata" lives in south east Australia and New Caledonia.

Habitat

The shell of this species has been found in shell sand, in shallow water.

hell description

The limpet-like shell is small and thin, ovate, low-conical, with its apex at about four-fifths the length, small and incurved. The surface is smooth, apart from a few faint concentric growth lines.

The shell coloration is pale yellowish to reddish brown, with broad, but very faint, radial bands in a darker tone.

The shell length is up to 6.5 mm, width up to 5 mm, and height up to 2.5 mm.
