Angelo "Onslow" Nooijen

ANGELO HENRIQUEZ NOOIJEN (born July 24, 1980) also known as “ONSLOW” to his friends, is a Dutch-Dominican producer, singer, songwriter, director and graphic artist.

He was born and raised in the south of Netherlands in a city called EINDHOVEN. He has 2 brothers Rudy and Randy, one half sister and 2 younger half brothers. His musical background was influenced by his father when he would play the guitar for him when he was 4 years old. However, his love for music started at the age of 9, when he found an old piano at home. Angelo would recall. “I found an old keyboard at home and I just started banging it”. He also grew up with his mother playing old records of Marvin Gaye, Comodores, Percy Sledge, Barry White, Delfonics and Pointer sisters at 6 in the morning.

He briefly attended De Eindhovense School and took up graphic designs. But much like any hood kids, Angelo spent most of his time doing drugs and getting in and out of jail rather than being in school. Until one day he woke up broke and hungry. This experience became a big turning point of his life. It was then he promised himself: " I will never go back to that point in my life, from now on I'm allergic to broke".

He met Kilo in 1997. It was also around this time that ANGELO was hanging out with Olav, of Dicty Productions and Dutch rapper Shock and Surprise. With the influence of his friends ANGELO started producing his own beats and sound using Reason, Cubase and Nuendo. His passion for music also became a big significance to his youngest brother Shaiky a.k.a. Charly Blender and to his cousin Jaheed, that they followed suit.

In 2006 he founded a freelance company he called the A team. Shortly after a few months, Angelo and his brothers decided to work in one umbrella and formed F.O.O.D (Foundation of Original Designs). Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffects and Pinnacle, ANGELO was the main artist for F.O.O.D and was responsible in creating concept designs and illustrations.

In May 2007 on his second trip to the Philippines,ANGELO met with Young Pic,a Fil-American hip hop artist and co founder of Wessgate Productions who introduced him to the local scene where they performed side by side with MOCHA and in several clubs like ABSINTH and MUGEN. In Young pic’s recording studio, together with Kilo, the 3 collaborated and recorded Carlito’s way. For 6 days they recorded 4 other tracks such as Slang, International ride, So high,Where you are and Hoez wanna know.

ANGELO is currently busy producing for JUAN FIST, a 22 year old rapper from Nicaragua and finishing Kilo’s album. He is also the main producer of Kilo, co-producer of Charly Blender and D-Lizz. He is at present collaborating with Youngpic for Wessgate productions. He is also contracted by Griekse Y and Soul exported.

ANGELO likes graffiti walls, watching the rain and mangoes. He has a huge anime collection, enjoys the works of Dante Alleghieri and he is a big fan of The Sopranos. He is rarely seen without his 59 Fifty cap.
