Larry Beck

Larry Beck (born August 12, 1939) is an American professional golfer from Kinston, North Carolina.

At age 17, he won the 1957 U.S. Junior Amateur Golf Championship, beating Jack Nicklaus 4 and 3 in the third round of match play. Beck is a PGA Life Member who has developed and renovated golf faciities as well as instructing and managing facilities as a pro in several locations in the Carolinas. Heads Up Golf instruction principles are his creation which gives students a good understanding of how balance, leverage and release works for them to facilitate their golf game.

Larry Beck was with Whispering Pines in Pinehurst area for 16 years, instructed in the Lexington area, Southport, Siler City, Myrtle Beach, and Wake Forest at the Raleigh Golf Club. His education was acquired through golf scholarships at Wake Forest University and the University of Houston with a major in Elementary Education.
