Larry Beck (born August 12, 1939) is an American
professional golfer fromKinston, North Carolina .At age 17, he won the 1957
U.S. Junior Amateur Golf Championship , beatingJack Nicklaus 4 and 3 in the third round ofmatch play . Larry Beck was with Whispering Pines in Pinehurst area for 16 years, instructed in the Lexington area, Southport, Siler City, Myrtle Beach, and Wake Forest at the Raleigh Golf Club. His education was acquired through golf scholarships at Wake Forest University and the University of Houston with a major in Elementary Education.
