Bhushan Dewan

Bhushan Dewan is an acclaimed international expert on the Malcolm Baldrige Model as well as on Enterprise Quality models such as the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), Capability Maturity Model (CMM), PCMM etc. He is currently President - Quality and Business Excellence at Tanla Solutions, a Hyderabad based software firm that specializes in developing IT solutions for Telecom area. Based out of the Tanla Solutions offices in India, Bhushan is responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance across the business, helping the company to increase its global presence as a cutting edge telecommunications products and services provider to the Telecoms, Media and Digital Communications sectors. Tanla Solutions is a leading telecommunications software products and services provider with operations in India, Ireland and the UK.

Bhushan has developed and implemented quality assurance models across various enterprises in IT Services, Banking & Financial Services, Telecom, Steel, Chemical, Generator, Electronics, Textile, Oil exploration & refining sectors. He is an internationally recognised professional in quality and management process.

He has driven process improvement projects for global organizations in India, China and Asia-Pacific. He is an acknowledged expert in the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige criteria for Performance Excellence as well as the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM). He has driven process improvement projects for diverse business functions at strategic, tactical and operational levels: leadership & strategic planning,customer & market,IT & knowledge management, HR, Delivery & support.

He held the post of Vice President at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS), Asia's leading IT Services company. While at TCS, he was instrumental in driving manyfold increase in company’s revenues, profits, global presence, repeat orders and branding. Prior to that, he was CEO at Quality Systems International (QSI) and a Management professor at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). Prior to that, he was a Commander in the Indian Navy. He is an author of two globally published books on Information Technology: "Managing Information Technology" & "e-commerce". He has also been empanelled as an Authorised Consultant on Business Excellence, with the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation. He has been involved in developing consulting business in quality services for diverse regions & industries.

Bhushan holds a Master's degree in Technology with specialization in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.

He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA; a Member of the Academy of International Business; Fellow of the Institution of Engineers in India; and a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers of India.He is also a Certified Scrum Master.

He is also on the Jury of Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Award for Excellence in Human Resources as well as the Qimpro Award.
