"Pseudaneitea schauinslandi" is a species of air-breathing land slug, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Athoracophoridae, the leaf-veined slugs.

Distribution

This species is endemic to the South Island of New Zealand, on Stephens Island and in Marlborough Sounds.

Description

This species has 15 shallow lateral grooves on either side, with three or four papillae in each side field (an area bounded by grooves). The two tentacles are not visible. There is only a vestigial internal shell in the form of numerous small calcareous particles. The back is densely covered with small black spots.
