"Pseudaneitea gigantea"is a species of air-breathing land slug, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Athoracophoridae, the leaf-veined slugs.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand's South Island, in beech forest on the west coast.

Description

This species has 15 lateral grooves on either side, the majority unbranched, with the median groove broad, shallow, and black. The two tentacles do not protrude. There is only a vestigial internal shell in the form of numerous small calcareous particles. The back has numerous irregular black spots.
