Sanel Jahić was born in
Strasbourg ,France . He grew up there and started playing football also. After years spent playing for youth squads ofRC Strasbourg and laterFC Sochaux-Montbéliard , he moved to his country of origin and started playing for FK Željezničar in 2001. He played in various positions. At first, he played as a right back, butAmar Osim realized that he could give much more as a winger or even as a striker. Good games in Željezničar were his ticket for foreign clubs. He moved toUD Las Palmas in summer of 2003. and after two seasons toMérida UD . In summer of 2006. he has returned to FK Željezničar.He is having a time of his life in FK Željezničar, scoring most of his team's goals. He recently scored a hattrick against
Modriča inNovember 28 ,2007 . in the Bosnian Cup to win 3-2, guiding FK Željezničar to the quarter-finals. This tallies the aggragate score FK Željezničar 6-5FK Modriča with Jahić scoring five times.Jahić signed a contract with
Dušan Bajević 's team, Aris Thessaloniki on December 17, 2007, for 20,000 Euro's. Although he arrived as the Bosnian premijer liga's leading scorer, Bajević placed him in defense where he soon established himself as a first-team regular. On March 20, 2008, he scored a notable goal against Xanthi to take Aris to the Greek cup semi-finals.
