board game copyright dated1953 based upon the Walt Disney Productionsanimated film "Peter Pan" (1953 ). The game was published with both red and blue box covers as well as some slight differentiations in the dial.Object of the game
The object of the game is to be the first player to return to the Darling's House.
Equipment
* 1 folding, center-seamed game board illustrated with scenes and characters from Peter Pan
* 4 counters (one each of red, yellow, blue, and green)
* 4 instruction cards
* 1 dial numbered 1 through 8et up
The game board is opened and placed upon a flat surface. Each player selects a counter. Each player spins the dial. The player spinning the highest number plays first with the next highest number playing second, and so on.
Play
Play begins at the Darling House in the upper left hand corner of the game board. Each player moves, in turn, the number of spaces along the track indicated by his spin of the dial. When a player reaches the Never Isle, he selects a character from the film and receives the instruction card for that character. The player follows his chosen character's track on the board, obeying instructions upon the character's card. The player is also obligated to follow any instructions on those spaces he lands upon after spinning the dial during the course of his turn at play.
Winning the game
The first player who travels from Never Land to Skull Rock and along the Stardust Trail to Capt. Hook's ship, and returns to the Darling's House is declared the winner.
