Thousand Trails

Founded in 1969 by Milt Koult (founder of Horizon Air) Thousand Trails, LP is one of America’s largest and most successful private campingclubs with more than 100,000 members. Five camping organizations form the Thousand Trails camping system. These camping systems include Thousand Trails, NACO, Leisure Time Resorts, Mid-Atlantic Resorts, and Outdoor World. Combined, Thousand Trails has more than 80 preserves in 22 states.

Thousand Trails uses the term preserves to designate its properties. This term is used to signify their protection of nature and its beauty. Thousand Trails offers unique accommodations apart from standard camping grounds with facilities and activities more acquainted with a hotel or resort. Visitors and members can bring their own recreational vehicles or have access to rental cabins. Apart from their camping system, Thousand trails operates approximately 200 public campgrounds for the U.S. Forest Service. [http://www.1000trails.com Thousand Trails]
