"“The unsung hero of the evening was Belfast’s own Jake O’Kane. Jake’s refreshingly up-front style immediately won the one thousand strong audience round”."(Sunday Life)
"“When Mickey Mouse came to town, peace in Northern Ireland became a reality for Jake O’Kane. The opening of the Disney Store on Belfast’s Royal Avenue was the first credible harbinger of a lasting peace for the stand-up comedian. ‘As far as I was concerned, there was no way that Walt Disney would send Mickey Mouse anywhere he was likely to be shot’”."(Sunday Tribune)
"Get to The Empire’s comedy club early on a Tuesday (remember not to sit at the front), and enjoy three acts along with legendary compère, Jake O’Kane."(NME Student Guide 2006)
