ClieOp

ClieOp

ClieOp is a European banking exchange format used to initiate direct debit requests with (Dutch) banks [http://www.pago.de/Pago-Direct-Debit-Netherlands.453.0.html Bank example (Pago)] , [http://www.veracity.nl/interfaceselectronicbankingbos.html transaction example (Veracity)] . In the Netherlands it is possible to submit direct debits for individual payment collections by using a procedure called “ClieOp“ (Cliëntopdrachten); customers have the right to reverse the direct debit within six weeks. This method gives you the possibility to attract Dutch shoppers who don't own a credit card.

The requirements for the use of these payments are:
* You have to have a bank account solely for direct debits.
* You have to have ClieOp participation contract with Interpay.
* Account statements and return files are provided by your bank.

The ClieOp structure is for the batch delivery oforders on electronic information carriers toPostbank and Interpay. The ClieOp structure is medium-independent and deliveries can bemade on magnetic tape, tape cartridge, diskette, via Girocom or via Girotel. The advantage of the ClieOp structure is thatpayment and direct debit orders are preparedusing the same structure - downloadable documents describing this structure in detail are here [http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:y9b1P65EG6cJ:www.ingbank.nl/ing/downloadables/eclieop1.pdf+clieop+netherlands+banks&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=us ClieOp Structure from INGBank]
