The Lied Discovery Children's Museum (LDCM) is a convert|22000|sqft|m2|sing=on facility located in Las Vegas, Nevada.[ The museum is located across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Since opening to the public in September 1990, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum has established itself as an important community resource, becoming one of the metropolitan area’s major educational institutions serving children and families. To date, more than 1.6 million people have visited the Museum and more than 400,000 children have participated in school field trip programs designed to supplement the curriculum in innovative ways.fact|date=July 2008
The participatory nature of the Museum’s exhibits and programs encourages interaction between child and adult, providing an opportunity for them to share a special learning experience through the joy of discovery.
