Francis Bennett-Goldney (1865-1918) was the Conservative MP for Canterbury and mayor of
Canterbury who died inWorld War I .As a Major in the
Royal Army Service Corps he died 27 July 1918 from injuries sustained in a motor-car accident and is buried atSt Germain-en-Laye , near Paris.Goldney was appointed as Athlone Pursuivant of the
