Dyulok

Dyulok

Dyulok or Dyuloka refers to the part of the heavens illuminated by the Sun and the Milky Way. The Rig Vedas repeatedly mention Dyulok as "abode of the Dyau" where Dyau is the primordial sky father of the Indo-Europeans a kind of legacy carried down the centuries in Vedic Dyaus (also Dyupiter), Zeus, Jupiter, Thor and presently in cognative forms as Deva, Diva, Day, Divine etc.

The Rig-Veda preaches that Dyulok is the ultimate layer of heaven eternally illuminated by cosmic lights. Souls compete to reach dyulok to achieve eternal happiness and salvation from all suffering. Ancient Aryans worshipped Dyulok as the fountain-head of God.
