"Malpractice" is a short story by Orson Scott Card. It appears in his short story collection Maps in a Mirror. Card originally published this story in the November 1977 issue of Analog Science Fiction and Fact magazine. This short story was later expanded into the novel Invasive Procedures by Card and screenwriter Aaron Johnston.

Plot summary

"Malpractice" is about the dangers of genetic manipulation.
