Winx Powers (Winx Club)

In Winx Club, magic abilities are specified through "winx", a special power that every fairy has. From that, there are different types of magics, spells and items that can be used to strengthen the fairy. All fairies and witches use this magic source, although in different manners, to wield the basis of their powers.

Winx Magic/Form

The most basic of all fairies is the Winx form, not counting the everyday, civilian form. It is accessed through willpower, and belief of having, and is manifested by harnessing the inner power and bringing it outward. It usually takes place for the first time during a battle or hardship, that forces the fairy to bring out their true power. Following the initial transformation it can be reached at any point, and at anytime, without struggles or special circumstances.

Appearance and powers

While and following transforming into a winx-powered fairy, the user will receive a sequence that displays the metamorphosis and new powers and looks. All users receive wings of some sort, usually small and transparent, as well as a tiara or hair accessories and a glittery outfit, more fancy and unique then their regular clothes. The theme and color of the outfit is associated closely with the users magical source, for example Stella's power is the Sun and Moon, so her colors are yellow and warmer colors, and Flora's powers are over plants and flowers, so her colors are pinks and greens. The actual powers of a winx fairy are increased exponentially, as their spells and incantations are much more effective, and their offense attacks and defensive shields are magnified and are more fine-tuned and precise. Overall this form is more powerful than civilian, and is the normal form a fairy takes on during battle.

Charmix Magic/Form

The charmix is a stage of magic that a fairy gets by revealing her own self. It is much more powerful than that of the winx.

Appearance and Powers

In a charmix a fairy gets a pin and a purse on her winx outfit. It enhances her powers.

Gloomix

A witch's equivalent to the charmix. Witches get it, not by themselves but through a powerful entity who is willing to give it. It enhances their powers greatly and gives them new powers.

Enchantrix Magic/Form

In the enchantrix a fairy reaches her final stage and becomes extremely powerful. In this stage, they get fairy dust, powerful wings, miniaturizing abilities and new powers. A fairy gets her enchantrix by saving someone from her own realm. The only exception is Bloom, who got it through sheer willpower.

Appearances and powers

In an enchantrix, a fairy's hair length increases considerably. She has large, sparkling and extremely powerful wings. through which she can exert fairy dust, one of the most powerful magical substance.

Disenchantrix

A witch's counterpart of the disenchantrix got by absorbing large amounts of darkness. The witch's disenchantrix gives her a gothic look. The only witches to have got a disenchantrix are Icy, Darcy and Stormy.
