Part of his role at the Royal Meteorological Society was to deliver news of the weather to the King at
Buckingham Palace .Prince-Cox became the sixth manager of Bristol Rovers on
1930-10-23 , and remained in the job for almost six years, until1936-10-10 . He introduced the blue-and-white quartered shirts in which the team now play in an effort to make the players look larger and more intimidating. He also gave the club the nickname "The Pirates", which is used to this day.References
