hell description
The shell sculpture on the spire whorls is dominated by a submedian heavy spiral keel, and is followed by another, almost equally strong, that angulates the top of the base. The surface is otherwise crowded with fine crisp spiral threads.
The shell coloration is uniform, but different individuals vary in shade between reddish-brown and fawn.
The shell height is up to 23 mm, and the width is up to 7 mm.
