The Walk of Fame is a planned tribute to famous dogs in
London ,England . The initial six inductees will be announced in November 2007. The honours are sponsored byThe Kennel Club and television channelSky Movies .Candidates include
Lassie , Toto from "The Wizard of Oz", cartoon dogGromit , and Tintin's companion, Snowy. Battersea Park in London, which is on the south bank of theRiver Thames . The formerBattersea Dogs Home , now called the Battersea Dog and Cats Home, Britain's largest home for abandoned dogs is situated nearby and a well-known landmark.
