Ronald Kenneth Noble (born 1957) is an American law enforcement officer, and the current Secretary General of
Interpol .Biography
He is a 1979 graduate of the
University of New Hampshire and a 1982 graduate ofStanford Law School . Mr. Noble also is a tenured professor at theNew York University School of Law , on leave of absence while serving at Interpol.He served as the chief of staff of the Criminal Division,
United States Department of Justice from 1988 until 1989.From 1994 until 1996 he was the Undersecretary for Enforcement of the
United States Department of the Treasury , where he was in charge of the Secret Service, theBureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives , theFederal Law Enforcement Training Center , theOffice of Foreign Assets Control which is the entity in charge of theUnited States embargo against Cuba , and theFinancial Crimes Enforcement Network .
