- Virtual Token Descriptor
Virtual Token Descriptor (VTD) is a binary format (representing non-extractive XML tokens) on which
VTD-XML is based. VTD records are 64-bit integers encoding the offsets, lengths, depths, and types of tokens in an XML document, and require that XML document be maintained intact in memory. In addition, an extended version of VTD supporting XML documents up to 128 GB in size is currently under development.
