General Halftrack receives a rare and precious call fromThe Pentagon alerting him that they're coming for an inspection of Camp Swampy. The word is quickly spread down thechain of command toSergeant Snorkel who then gives Private Zero the order to paint "everything that doesn't move", and to make invisible "every piece of flaky paint" and "every piece of dirt".Zero gets right to work, and goes into the paint supply building to get paint, passing right by Beetle who is supposed to be on guard duty to protect the can of "top secret invisible paint" that is in there, but is currently in a discussion with Lt. Fuzz over what the challenge and passwords are. Zero, who takes everything said to him literally, grabs the invisible paint, remembering Sarge's statement about making dirt and flaky paint "invisible".
He then proceeds to paint every building on the base with the paint (and apparently everything else that doesn't move), as by sunrise the next day, the only thing visible is the Camp Swampy sign.
Sgt. Snorkel awakens and walks out of his barracks only to be shocked when he sees nothing. He runs into another building, and Beetle looks out, showing only his head, then realizes what Sarge did; the camp is "gone".
Eventually, Beetle realizes it was painted over with the invisible paint, and he and the rest of the platoon decide to paint themselves invisible and mess with Sarge. They are just about to send Sarge into a pond when it starts to rain, and the rain water washes away the paint from everything. They then drop Sarge as ordered, and run off as he runs after them all brandishing a rifle like a baseball bat.
