"Public Relations Journal" initially launched 1945, was founded by Dr. Rex F. Harlow of the
American Council on Public Relations (ACPR). After the American Council on Public Relations and theNational Association of Public Relations Counsel (NAPRC) merged to form thePublic Relations Society of America in 1947, it became a monthly publication of the PRSA [cite book | last = Cutlip | first = Scott M. | authorlink = Scott M.
