Sekiryo Kaneda (金田 積良 "Kaneda Sekiryō", died 1949) (also known as Sekiryo Yamauchi (山内 積良 "Yamauchi Sekiryō")) was the second president of what is now
Nintendo Company Limited, from 1929 to 1949. He married the daughter ofFusajiro Yamauchi ,Tei Yamauchi , and took the Yamauchi surname.Business
When Sekiryo took over Nintendo, he was in charge of Japan's largest card maker. In 1933, Sekiryo established a joint-venture company, and renamed it Yamauchi Nintendo and Co. In 1947, he established a distribution company, Marufuku Company Limited.
Retirement and death
In 1949, Sekiryo retired after suffering a
stroke , dying from complications soon after. His grandsonHiroshi Yamauchi took over. Hiroshi Yamauchi was Fusajiro Yamauchi's great grandson. Hiroshi Yamauchi's father did not take over the company because he had abandoned his son and wife, Kimi.
