It contains prehistoric (and maybe more recent)petroglyph engravings on boulders and stones along severalmoraines located in two high valleys, separated by a low mountain ridge. The place is at about 3.200 m altitude and 70 kilometers NE ofJalal-Abad in theFerghana-Range . Saimaluu Tash is a word in the localTurkic -language and means "decorated stones". Over 10.000 carved pictures have so far been identified, making the site a worldwide important rock-art collection.External links
