- Ted Tuddenham
Professor Edward G. D. Tuddenham is one of the world's leading haematologists and until 2005 was head of the Medical Research Council Haemostasis and Thrombosis Research Group at
Imperial College ,London . Professor Tuddenham is a pioneer in the field onhaemophilia and was responsible for the cloning of thefactor VIII gene, which led to the highly effective and safe treatments available to haemophilia sufferers today. In more recent years, he has been actively involved in severalgene therapy for haemophilia pre-clinical studies. He is currently Professor of Haemophilia at University College London and Director of the Haemophilia Centre at the Royal Free Hospital.References
