May 25 ,1984 inAmsterdam ) is a Dutch internet entrepreneur who started his career as founder and editor-in-chief of the popular independentEurovision Song Contest website [http://www.esctoday.com esctoday.com] . In 2003, he launched a multimedia company called [http://www.mediabattery.com MediaBattery] .In 2004, Sietse Bakker took part in the Dutch national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest as song writer. Together with Romeo Samuel, he wrote the song "The Power of an Angel" for Mary Amora. The song ended up at the 6th place in one of the semi-finals and as a result, didn't qualify for the finals. Jury member Cornald Maas criticized the song for being "old-fashioned".
In 2005 and 2006, Sietse Bakker took seat in jury of the Greek national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2006, he took seat in the jury of
Eurolaul , to select the Estonian entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest.In 2006, the young entrepreneur left esctoday.com to become Project Manager Internet for the
Eurovision Song Contest ,Junior Eurovision Song Contest and, later on, theEurovision Dance Contest at theEuropean Broadcasting Union . In May 2008, he was appointed Manager Communications & Public Relations for the three events.Currently, Sietse Bakker spends most of his time in
Tallinn ,Estonia , together with his partnerMari-Leen Kaselaan , a popular Estonian singer who took part in theEurovision Song Contest 2005 . In July 2007, they appeared on the cover of the popular Estonian yellow magazine "Just!".
