Peter Heerey

The Hon. Justice Peter Cadden Heerey is a Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. He was appointed to the Federal Court on December 17 1990.

Heerey attended university in Tasmania, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (first class honours). He practiced as a solicitor in Hobart, before moving to Melbourne to become a barrister in 1967. [ [http://www.federalcourt.gov.au/aboutct/heerey.html Justice Heerey ] ]

In addition to his role as a Federal Court Justice, Heerey is also President of the Defence Force Discipline Appeal Tribunal, a Deputy President of the Australian Competition Tribunal and a Presidential member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
